Do I need emergency dentistry?

Call us right away for any of these:

• Toothache — you’ve brushed, rinsed, and flossed, and it still hurts
• Tooth knocked out
• Abscess
• Chipped or broken teeth — if the chip is significant, the tooth is cracked, or the tooth is in pieces
• Loose tooth
• Lost filling or crown
• Gum, tongue, or cheek injuries — if the bleeding will not stop
• Broken bracket or wire / loose braces — call your orthodontist immediately

How to avoid dental emergencies

Accidents are unplanned, and therefore hard to prepare for. The best way to stay ahead of a dental emergency is prevention: schedule regular exams every six months and keep up a good oral hygiene routine. Brush at least twice a day, floss once a day, and avoid brittle foods like hard candy that can damage your teeth.
