Dental Bridges
Implant-supported fixed bridges — a permanent, palateless way to replace missing teeth.
Medically reviewed by Jonathan Kuipers, DDS · July 2026

The effects of losing your teeth can be devastating — but there is a way to recover your missing teeth and regain the self-confidence that comes with your smile. For patients missing several or all of their teeth, one of the strongest solutions is an implant-supported fixed bridge.
How a fixed bridge on implants works
The procedure takes more time than a single implant. In most cases, multiple implants are placed in your jaw, and it takes about 2 to 6 months for them to bond with the bone and form an anchor for your bridge. Expect roughly 8–10 office visits, depending on your specific case and conditions. You’ll wear temporary teeth while the implants heal.
The second phase uncovers the implants and attaches extensions — the foundation for the new teeth. (In some cases, a one-step implant makes this second phase unnecessary.) Your new teeth are then secured by tightening them down on the implants. Most patients report that the procedure was much more comfortable than they expected.
A fixed bridge on implants is completely customized to each patient’s needs. It’s non-removable — no taking it out at night — and palateless, meaning nothing covers the roof of your mouth.
Is an implant bridge the right fix for missing teeth?
You can replace a full set of missing teeth with dental implants and a fixed bridge. The result looks natural and highly esthetic, and it’s a stable, permanent fix: you eat and function like you have natural teeth again. It also preserves your facial appearance and prevents the bone loss that follows missing teeth.
Before dental implants, no fixed-bridge solution existed for a full set of missing teeth. With modern dentistry it’s now possible — and we consider the implant-supported fixed bridge the leading restoration for replacing a full arch. Schedule a consultation to see if it’s right for you, and ask about financing.
