If you’re self-conscious about cracked, broken, decayed, or worn teeth, we can bring back your healthy, natural-looking smile with dental crowns — also called caps. A crown returns structure, strength, and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. Designed to fit snugly and function like a healthy tooth, a crown protects your tooth from further damage and preserves the jaw’s correct natural alignment.

What a crown does

Dental crowns preserve the shape and function of a damaged tooth. This common restoration may be used to protect a cracked tooth from infection, restore a tooth with excessive decay, or replace a pre-existing crown — encasing the tooth in a custom-designed material.

Materials — and why we recommend porcelain

Crowns come in three main materials:

  • Metal
  • Porcelain pressed (or fused) to metal
  • All-porcelain

To maintain a fully white smile, we recommend all-ceramic crowns. Our precise color-matching system finds the right shade of porcelain to blend with your natural tooth color. Porcelain crowns are also extremely durable and long-lasting — benefits that make them popular with dentists and patients alike.

Quick to place, easy to live with

Typically, we can design, fit, and place your crowns in just a couple of short appointments. Once a crown is placed, care for it as you do your natural teeth: conscientious brushing twice a day and daily flossing protect the base of the crown from bacterial growth. And keep up your twice-yearly cleanings and preventive exams — they protect the crown and everything around it.

I have been coming here for a while and I really love the atmosphere there. ALL the workers are so nice and the Dr. does a great job caring for my teeth. I went to a lot of dentist that left me feeling like I was robbed but I never get that feeling here!
